Dr. Kristen Woods brings a unique perspective to executive coaching, shaped by 25 years of dedicated service in healthcare. Her journey from family physician to C-suite executive has given her a deep understanding of what it takes to lead effectively at every level of healthcare organizations.

As a practicing family physician, Dr. Woods discovered her passion for innovation and team development while leading interdisciplinary care team redesign. This foundation in clinical practice provided her with invaluable insights into the daily realities of healthcare delivery and the importance of collaborative leadership.

Her transition to executive roles in both Accountable Care Organizations and national health systems allowed her to expand her impact on a larger scale. In these positions, she successfully guided strategy development, optimized financial performance, and led cultural transformations using Lean principles. Her ability to manage complex organizational dynamics and navigate situations with overlapping authority became hallmarks of her leadership approach.

Kristen’s approach to coaching is grounded in real-world experience and a genuine desire to serve leaders as they courageously pursue sustainable change, build trust-centered cultures, and create wellness-focused environments where both caregivers and patients thrive.  She uses a structured cognitive-behavioral approach that drives actionable insights from their strengths and challenges.  Her coaching focuses on developing executive competencies that enable leaders to become trusted visionaries, influence organizational strategy effectively, and unlock the potential within their teams.

Outside of her professional work, Kristen maintains an active lifestyle that includes running, cross-country skiing, paddleboarding, and hiking with her husband and three dogs. These outdoor activities provide balance and perspective that she brings to her coaching relationships.
