I opened my own coaching business in October 2022 as part of the FocalPoint Coaching network of business coaches. I believe that socially responsible business is a powerful lever to create positive change. I support small business owners, executives and individuals in identifying the impact that they would like to see in the world, and helping them move purposefully toward that vision. My practice focuses on small and medium-sized businesses that seek to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities. My coaching philosophy reflects my deeply help view that successful companies no longer can afford to focus solely on their individual bottom line, but must engage their employees, customers and communities with a deeper sense of mission and social purpose in order to effectively compete in today's evolving marketplace.
Prior to launching my coaching practice, I spent over twenty years as a senior executive in the financial services industry where I was responsible for the risk management of a $100+ billion commercial loan portfolio, leading industry research teams, and evaluating the strategic and competitive positioning of clients. I began my career as a social impact investor working for the U.S. government, where I assisted American companies making socially and economically impactful investments in low- and medium-income countries.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College, and hold a Masters of Arts in International Affairs from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), as well as an MBA in Finance and Accounting from New York University. I am a certified FocalPoint business coach, and have completed over 100 hours of additional coaching training from the CoActive Training Institute (CTI). My Associate Certified Coaching (ACC) designation from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) is anticipated in 2024.
